# The concrete projects.

Since 2025 I consult on my own, building tools and automations for small companies. Before that, digital payments at UniCredit. Before that, two startups of my own. Each entry below says what I actually did, since that's usually the hardest thing to tell from a portfolio.

## Consulting

### Client operations tools

Custom software and automations for small businesses. Since 2025.

I sit with the owner, map how orders, invoices, or tenders actually move through the business, then build the missing piece and run it. So far that includes a custom ERP, a scraper that monitors public tender listings, restaurant ordering flows, and CRM and API integrations. Infrastructure choices and production problems included.

## AI products

### [Chiara AI](https://chiara.help)

An AI study assistant. Now archived.

NotebookLM before Google released NotebookLM. Students turned lectures, PDFs, notes, and recordings into summaries, mind maps, flashcards, quizzes, and document chat. I handled the whole lifecycle myself: roadmap, React and Firebase build, the LLM, transcription, and OCR pipelines, deployment, support. It left me with one firm opinion about AI products. Structure and workflow beat another chat box.

### [Alter](https://ask-alter.app)

An AI inbox for email, Slack, Calendar, and HubSpot.

One place for the channels you already use, with categorization, prioritization, and natural-language search. The point was to make the existing inboxes less painful rather than add a new one. We interviewed at Y Combinator in summer 2023, when an AI inbox was still a strange pitch. We didn't get in.

## Payments and fintech

### [UniCredit](https://www.unicreditgroup.eu/en.html)

Digital payments consulting, through Be Management Consulting.

I managed the re-engineering of UniCredit's ATM frontend into a microservices architecture, working with the solution architect to turn business requirements into technical specs. I also sat between the bank's business units and the vendor, Nexi, on acquiring services, coordinating UAT, go-lives, and post-release support. This is where the functional analyst in me comes from.

### [Idospay](https://idospay.com)

An Open Banking startup for SME cash flow. Co-founder.

We built a data platform on Open Banking APIs so small businesses could see payment patterns and cash-flow pressure. I ran product and operations: roadmap, hiring, financial modeling, and the pitches that got us funding from Northeastern University and recognition from Google for Startups. The idea came from a summer in a winery's accounting office, watching invoices go unpaid.

## Side projects

### [Cosa Faccio a Piacenza](https://cosafaccioapiacenza.it/)

Weekend events in Piacenza, published once, distributed everywhere.

It started as a friend's Instagram page listing weekend events in Piacenza, our hometown. Collecting events by hand and building carousels was painful, so I automated everything I could: backend, website, mobile apps, API, MCP support. Events go in once and every channel is generated from the same data, including the weekend carousel, while scrapers pull the rest from third-party sources. I do it for free, and it's some of the most fun engineering I get to do.

### [Posto Social](https://pitchbook.com/profiles/company/588672-46#overview)

A social network experiment.

A social network built around quality content rather than engagement mechanics. My part was project management: scope, priorities, and keeping delivery moving.

### [TVSION](/projects/tvsion)

The first Italian app for watching free-to-air TV.

200,000+ downloads and more than a year in the App Store Top 100. I built it in high school: backend on Node.js and AWS, iOS app in Swift, teaching myself as I went, back when there was no AI to ask. My first lesson in shipping something real and watching what hundreds of thousands of people actually do with it.
